Me (13 years old at the time): Dad, Mom’s cheating on you. I saw her making out with this man.

Dad: Listen here, princess. The guy’s filthy rich, and when you have money, it’s normal to have a hot mistress like your mom.

Me: But aren’t you jealous?

Dad: laughs

I was flabbergasted, lmao.

Even crazier yet: Just because you don’t like something doesn’t make it amoral, nor does your worldview support your assumption that the OP is fucked up. They may be, but they may not, and that isn’t for you to judge or assume now is it?

Maybe OP can elucidate us on how it affected them. And it’s for anyone to assume, we’re on a discussion platform and thoughtcrime isn’t a thing yet.

I don’t think it was a stretch to consider it fucked them up a bit, seeing how it’s the most unhinged thing they’ve been told by their own admission. And sure, thinking pimping your own wife or swinging/wife-sharing is immoral is a “puritanical” stance and not just one of the most basic of moral ones. Oh well. 🤷
