I can see a handful of benefits to technology like this.

• You don’t need the owners keys to move the vehicle. Thus you can retrieve or even rearrange vehicles at any time.

• Better for the environment. You reduce unnecessary gas usage since the bots use electricity.

• Can be used indoors. No gas means no fumes which means parking garages wouldn’t need expensive ventilation systems to remove the CO2 gasses

• Better mobility. These can turn on a dime and move sideways. That means a parking garage that fits more cars and takes up a smaller footprint.

• Potentially safer for the cars. This one rides on them actually perfecting the technology, but the bots could eliminate the risk of car damages due to human error.

Granted, I see this less as a technology for rich snobs and more as a thing for packed cities or huge businesses.

This is just what I’ve heard a long time ago so don’t quote me lol. But no, splitting a single atom shouldn’t do anything of note. I believe it’s the same general reason that a nuke doesn’t set the entire atmosphere on fire - you need a lot of energy to split atoms. That’s why nukes need enriched materials.

I also believe that even a nuclear explosion won’t be triggered by a single split atom in a bomb. For example, the Manhattan Project bomb was triggered by shaped explosives that surrounded the nuclear core. The blast of the charges “compressed” the nuclear material to the point it reached a critical mass that allowed a runaway fission reaction.

I found a copy of the game online because I wanted to try it out before I considered buying it (I had a feeling I wouldn’t like it). I got maybe an hour of playtime before I stopped playing. The new pretty skin doesn’t do enough to make the game worth it.

This 100%. Friend had theirs get to some 50+ Gb. After backing it up to iTunes, resetting the phone, then restoring to the backup, it all cleared up. My guys is it’s some sort of bug, (or collection of bugs), that prevents temp files from getting deleted properly. After the restore, all she had to do was reset face id and log into a few apps. All the stuff was still there minus expected stuff like Spotify downloads.

That could be a really interesting concept for a custom game. Maybe that’s how you make a three-player chess game. What if when they get gridlocked they turn gray and get to move any direction they want.

So what is your community? What is its purpose? If you’re gonna post here, I highly recommend looking at the community rules and adding all the proper info.

I love seeing people make new Lemmy communities. It’s even better when people spread the word in places like NewCommunities, but it doesn’t help you much if you’re missing all the info (and the proper link).

I’m sure the largest effect is from the shoulders moving, but I think it’s disingenuous to say it does nothing to the neck. Sure, the bones aren’t going to stretch themselves, but surely the cartilage/discs will stretch to some degree, right?

I’m far from an expert, but it seems that not only does it straighten and elongate the neck, but it also pushes down all the bones around your shoulders.

Maybe instead of starting with a hole, one player gets to choose which 2x2 to remove? It would have to be early on to ensure there is always a few empty 2x2s to choose from.

So maybe black chooses the 2x2 to remove and then white makes their first move. That way black gets a bit of an advantage since white moves first.
