Please don’t do this to me.

Just another watered down action adventure that all of our favorite IPs of yesteryear have turned into. Despite all of its jank Bloodlines was one of my favorite games growing up and I’m not even really interested in this one. I mourn for the game this could have been.

Obviously not, but maybe we should focus on more tangible goals at the moment like stopping an active genocide, stabilizing American politics, and quelling the billionaire problem at the moment.

This is an admirable goal but we are very, very far from it becoming a reality for a whole host of reasons.
Immediately thought of this because of It’s Just Cinema’s series on weird 70/80/90s animated films.

I can’t find it now but FWIW I just saw a video earlier today where Shane Gillis was dicsussing this. His reaction (at least in retrospect) was “You mean the 9/11 guys? No thank you”.
I bought and learned to play guitar (poorly), just so I could play that song (poorly).
ergonomic, don’t have to move your hands.
I can’t even begin to understand what you mean by this. It sounds like maybe you’re an iPhone user, which has almost no native universal controls. Android has options like gestures or a digital button bar, which allow for universal navigation from the same location that physical buttons would be in.
tactile, don’t have to watch the phone to navigate if you are familiar with what you are doing
Those buttons are contextually dynamic. You wouldn’t be able to use them without looking at the screen anyway.
“safer” since you can rest your hands while holding your device without worrying about accidental touch inputs that means you can have a firmer grip
How are you firmly gripping buttons without pushing them? This makes no sense.
It sounds like you have rose tinted glasses inspired by the inferiority of iOS, but I’m making assumptions.
Phablets were larger than modern screens; in the 8-9" range. You were lucky to fit one in a back pocket.
Fwiw I think you’re correct. Everyone else wants to keep being nice to these morons. I say rub their face in it.
Exactly. Apples biggest success has been looking at all the options being tested by other manufacturers, choosing the option they want, then completely eliminating all other options and convincing people in droves that what they are offering is what you want.

The correct answer is to get mad.
I don’t think I can agree with that logic when literally one Internet search could course correct these people on most of the issues they are choosing to be on the wrong side of. They don’t want to know what the truth is because it doesn’t fit their emotional narrative.

Damn, when did Gaben get so old?

Not everyone’s opinion deserves a platform.
I genuinely believe the real hurdle future generations will have to solve is this: chances are you will never be as bored as Tolkien likely spent the majority of his life. Being bored today is a choice; before the information age it was a reality. When people are desperately trying to escape boredom it makes the incentive to do crazy shit like make up your own language considerably more tangible.
Hops off soapbox
“I have money, so how could anybody be poor‽”
