In fact, the Therac-25 and all the supporting equipment were always finicky, so “something doesn’t work” practically was part of the routine.

I was right about dishwasher pods, and now I can prove it — Technology Connections (Nov 4, 2025), ~2.6M views

Now I wanna become the hand dishwashing expert!

• Scrub every inch and cranny real good with soapy water

• Even try to leave the soap on for 30 seconds if I can wash other stuff in the meantime

• Rinse very thoroughly so nary a hint of a sud remains

Prioritize dishwasher for everything that won’t be damaged

Some places in California, can sign up to volunteer with (paid expert) rangers to clear invasives

Some may find it fun to nerd out, get a Bluetooth temp sensor, track a handful of places in fridge & freezer to figure it out 🙂

Also good for ongoing alerts of temp escalations (beyond the usual, since refrigerators make themselves really cold until they warm up a bit and make themselves cold again).
