And here we are, nailed to the fucking wall. I’m fine with expanding this “incompetence”.

Rain forecasts are mostly spot on for me. Keep in mind, %chance of rain is covering a wide area. If we want better rain forecasts we have to dial in the resolution.
No lie. OP is clearly asking about a factory Windows install.
“LINUX!”
Yeah. We know. That wasn’t the question.
Also, if Windows was ever activated on that machine, it’s good to go forever. Far quicker to reinstall and wipe (as part of the process) than mucking around removing crap.
SOURCE: Done this a 100 times for corporate machines.
“Single White Female”
All I have ever seen is a single sentence on the login screen promoting MS products. Do none of you still use Windows? Are you saying stuff like this based on memes?
I am stunned this comic is still around. It would be like finding out Liberace was still alive.
Oh. My. Fuck. Me.
The image shows a man and a girl walking on a path in a wooded area. The foreground is covered in fallen leaves and pine straw. In the background, there is a wooden structure that appears to be some sort of storage shed or lean-to. A fire pit is visible to the left. The trees are dense and the lighting suggests it’s daytime. There appears to be a small animal or bird under the wooden structure.
The man appears to be middle-aged, Caucasian, with a casual style. He appears to be wearing camouflage clothing and jeans, suggesting an outdoorsy lifestyle. He is carrying a water bottle. The girl is young, likely elementary school-aged, wearing a pink shirt and shorts. She looks somewhat pensive. They both appear to be of average economic means and are engaging in a simple outdoor walk. The picture was taken at 2:44:22 AM on February 1st, 2020, with a Bushnell camera. There’s also an unidentifiable object hanging from a tree branch in the background.
The image’s resolution is somewhat low, indicative of a security camera, making the details somewhat blurry. The lighting is not uniform, with patches of sunlight and shadow. There is a subtle difference in the ground texture between the path and the surrounding areas. The girl appears to have a slightly concerned expression on her face. The wood used in the construction of the shelter seems weathered and may be indicative of its age and prolonged exposure to the environment.
Mostly spot on except the date because I never set the trail cam. Also, no animal under the firewood shed and the water bottle is a Keystone in a cozie. Cannot believe it picked up the ground difference in the trail and the edge of it.
Seen some math on the mountains of salt we would have to move. Very discouraging for desalinization and/or getting hydrogen that way.
They were simply following the classic trilogy arc:
Plucky heroes score on the big baddies against overwhelming odds.
Baddies hand our heroes their ass on a platter. Hope is all but gone.
Heroes come back bigger and tougher, win the whole game by the end.
My take is that he was young and idealistic and became cynical with age after a decade or so in the smuggling business.
Nah, you’re reading too much into it. I was dating heavily during and after the pandemic and so many women would have never spoken to me if my dating profiles were antivax. (Or right-wing, I might add, in a hard-right area.)
LOL, been there done that. The tile floor was better than the steel bench because I could get in that position. Didn’t know there was a word for that!
I’m not gay, and certainly not into bears, but this guy makes me feel I might not have a choice in what comes next.
My son is about Anakin’s age from SW I. LOL, he’s too uncoordinated to learn a box knife, let alone a power saw.
The energy you’re reading is non-ionizing, can’t cause cancer.
If an energy source is high enough frequency, and strong enough, it can knock electrons out of their orbit, creating ions. Hence the name. Ultraviolet rays from the sun can knock your DNA around, cause cancer. Radio waves simply cannot. Get the idea?
Nothing coming out of a laptop is energetic enough to even begin stripping electrons from the atoms in your cells.
I could probably tell a little more if you can say how and what “energy” you’re measuring.
Forgot about the donation angle! I’m signed up for organ donation, need to get that more clear in my will, but whole-body donation would be great.
Worst case, med students can have a go, see how bones heal, stuff like that.
Anecdotally, I’ve only heard women use that sort of argument IRL. Kinda falls in the, “This widget is 80% so I’m saving money!”
Well, no, not if you didn’t have to purchase the widget in the first place.
Men are hardly immune, but in my experience it’s more so women.
Absolutely. Even for suicide given a year or two. Unlike healthcare, life insurance pays on the nose. They only have 1 chance to get it right before customers run away.
