Brands names and generic coming from the same production lines are priced difference because of differing quality control standards. This may or may not still be the case, but it was when brand names were working on building the brand.
So a can of brand name green beans is more likely to have full beans with better texture and consistency. The lower quality beans, more fragmented and smaller pieces, and more variety in color are going to be in the generic labeled cans. Yes, same beans and same production line but the brand names get the better stuff in the same way as the people who pick through the fresh produce when it arrives at the store and the generic gets to use whatever is left over.
Generics are perfect in soups and casseroles and if you don’t care enough about presentation. Brands are for when you want rigid consistency.

The services will never change because consumers are lazy.
That is not true!
The services get more expensive and the quality goes down.

There are quite a few users who make good posts, especially images and memes but their comments are dogshit so this lets me enjoy their good contributions and roll my eyes at their bullshit :)

I block a lot less after switching to piefed which has a feature where I can tag users with poop and barfing and other emojies as it reminds me to laugh at the user instead of engaging.

LLMs are a.parlor truck that makes text output look natural, but massively unreliable like a game of telephone. Good for a laugh or two, but absolutely not worth wrecking the hardware sector over and not needing to be jammed into everything and endlessly nagging users about it.
Worse than web searches from a decade ago, and used to further fill results with generated slop. Certainly not ready for prime time, and the core design means it never will be for all the uses they are pretending it would be helpful for.
Not enough hands to hold all four!

If they landed and did stuff that was more complex than we can send robots to do it would have been pretty awesome!

Ebony becomes so angry at this perceived betrayal[e] that she runs crying into the Forbidden Forest, where she is approached by Lord Voldemort. Voldemort, speaking in faux-archaic English, gives her a gun and demands that she kill Vampire.
There is also a cameo by a gothic Marty McFly, who gives Ebony a black DeLorean time machine able to transform into an iPod, allowing her to travel forward in time.
I kinda want to read it now.

$7 a bag?
Love me some doritos to the point that I stopped eating them a few years ago because I was eating far too many I’m not going back with those prices.

The only time I notice is when it is pointed out that they are reusing an engine for a game sequel and the prior game was a bit clunky or had bugs. More of a concern about it carrying forward parts that I didn’t like than an inherent dislike of the engine itself. Really more of an issue about how the studio uses the engine.

I saw it in the very early 2000s in my 20s and it was also the first mecha anime I watched. Most of the references to other anime went over my head, and it was half boring and half exciting, and halfway through the last or maybe second to last episode we started smoking weed because it was so weird anyway we thought it would help. Definitely had a good laugh when we found out the minimalism was due to running out of money.
Definitely enjoyed it, and after watching additional anime it was even better on a rewatch. Rebirth and Death or whatever the extra things in were great as well. Asuka facing off against the white drones or whatever is one of my favorite action scenes of all time.
Haven’t watched the newer ones.
I find small pains, like papercuts to be extremely painful while a lot of more intense pain more tolerable. Like when I broke my arm I was cool and collected, but hot water from the faucet is extremely painful.
My worst pain ever was kidney stone. Woke up so confused because I felt completely numb and had the urge to vomit. Then I moved and the pain came rolling in as waves.
Went to the ER and they wanted me to pee for a test, but I couldn’t pee and the pain meds they were giving were worthless because of the whole pain med panic and had to convince them to give me a catheter so they could confirm what it was.
Found out both ends of the pain spectrum are horrible!

It would definitely need a rule about not trashtalking people for realizing basic concepts.

I got whooshed

That is logical.

A c/epiphany comm would be pretty neat too.
Firsr, they are rich old men because they are power-hungry and greedy.
There isn’t a second point.
Fourth option: Just limit the comics posted to those that are not transphobic/racist/sexist/other shitty discrimination thing.
The author might have shitty views and maybe they expressed them, but as far as the rules go it would be better to just moderate the posted content than whether or not the artist also has shitty stuff that may or may not be current and relevant. I would rather the posters be encouraged to not post content from terrible people, but if an artist was fine until they suddenly exposed a shitty view does all of their prior work retroactively become problematic? If they were terrible two decades ago are they permanently terrible?
It is complex enough that the posted content being moderated instead of the artist’s non-posted content is a better approach in my opinion. I am definitely in favor of comments explaining an artist has other shitty art too, because that is good to know and might influence how posted art is interpreted, but it doesn’t mean everything the artist made is tainted.
