Diet and exercise, saved you a click.
And I bet it really only applies to the really bad diets.
I’ve read a LOT about cardiovascular studies (along with diabetes) because they’re both in my family - bottom line is genetics is the primary driver for cardiovascular disease, and no one wants to acknowledge it.
Diet and exercise can make a difference if your disease is caused by… (bad) diet and (lack of) exercise - which is a small fraction of people.
We’ve seen Olympic athletes - runners notably - with significant cardiovascular issues. Clearly it wasn’t caused by a lack of exercise, and I really doubt their diet was the cause.
I do not eat well.
I don’t exercise.
But for some crazy reason, even if I do, my cholesterol levels and lipid levels and other things don’t change. In fact, my good cholesterol is 70+ even if I binge fast food for a week and…even if I don’t.
Unfortunately, that means I’m just kinda fucked. I take meds to control various things but apparently it’s TBD if that even matters.
I’m screwed the first half of my twenties were trash
Never too late to improve
