minus-squarecheery_coffee@lemmy.calinkfedilinkarrow-up16·1 year agoBasically if a thunderbolt cable is longer than 50cm it needs a booster inside or the signal degrades too much to offer full thunderbolt speeds. Apparently on TB 4 it’s 2m though, which I didn’t know until just now.
Kind of an awkward length, 0.8m is long enough it needs to be an active cable ($$) but not super long.
