Note that since you claim the DLC permanently on GamePass, it’s cheaper to get it via that especially if you still got a free or €1 GamePass month or three about.
I’m upset that they’ve made this decision to be honest. It means the physical release is incomplete and this is bad for have preservation, so I have the opposite feelings.
That would be bad I agree. I however think what they’ve said still allows for a physical Ultimate edition release with all dlc included without the usual additions of “Royal” or “Golden”.
If you are correct that there will be no complete physical version then my feelings are indeed muddled.

Nah I’m not playing RPGs on subscribed services
I played it over there. And now swapped to Linux. Just gonna wait for the release next year where it’s all inclusive and way cheaper.
Also waiting for P3R FES or whatever they are going to call it.
Sega / Atlus indicated they would not do a full retail release of the game and extra content, breaking with decades long tradition.
Yo! I totally had made that assumption being a longtime persona/smt player but I see now that you are correct they have said that.
I’m still going to wait a bit and see, just picked up SMT V Vengeance so I’m in no rush but this is wonderful news!!!
