Fair enough. I don’t know enough either way to have an educated opinion.
I’m not looking to be crucified by all of Lemmy.
Coding would be the issue for me. The rest I could probably do though if I really wanted to.
Too bad I have absolutely zero idea how to make a game. Or an app. Or software at all, actually.
Now I want a calculator app that insults you the whole time.
I’m pretty sure the first one is Voldemort from Harry Potter but I could be wrong.

2·11 days agoYeah that name sounds familiar. If it’s what I’m thinking it is, that was a favourite of mine for a bunch of game modes.

2·11 days agoAbsolutely. I also loved infection on that one map that’s in the same world as the forge map, it’s like a floating level over water. Can’t remember the name now, it’s been years. Then there’s also a good one that’s all indoors, sort of a fancy human building, maybe corporate or hotel originally, I can’t remember now.
Then Alexandria was awesome, there was a super cheesy spot you could get to there. Oh and then there was an outdoors map with sort of a circular building in the middle of the map, that was great for infection too. Oh and then another indoor one, all grey walls, small outdoor area where you could fall to your death.
Now that I think of it, I think I just loved that game altogether. Damn now I’m nostalgic.

3·12 days agoInfection on Zealot has to be one of the best times in Reach PvP. Your Reach posts have made me very nostalgic, but this one might take the cake. Good job.
Powders, yes, basically every meal. But I don’t always sautée them. Powered doesn’t have the same smell, and you can’t always use sautéed onion and garlic in every meal.
Lots of people don’t care about food, it’s just something to make them go from hungry to not hungry. “It fills a hole” is something I’ve heard many times, referring to food. Plenty of people just don’t care. I honestly was like that until I moved out and had to do the cooking myself. Now I can appreciate a home cooked meal or fancy restaurant meal more, but I’m still not a foodie. As long as it isn’t disgusting and it fills me up, I don’t really care. I’ll enjoy a nice meal more than a bland one, but I don’t have a strong feeling about it either way.
Cooking for my dad can be a little annoying sometimes because he’s definitely not a foodie. Many times my mom will make him a nice meal, ask him how it is, and his response is always “yeah it’s good” no matter what. Nowadays she cooks for herself and makes enough for him, because she knows he just doesn’t care, as long as it’s enough to fill him up. And I know a lot of people that are like that too.
I remember reading a comment on here one time that said anytime you’ve got people coming over for dinner, cook some onions and garlic in oil, even if you don’t need them for the meal. The smell alone will both make your guests hungry and also get excited for a good meal (assuming they’re into food).
Hope is a Time Lord confirmed.

2·14 days agoYou’ve completely nailed my feelings on it. Online semi-requirement is super annoying, but it’s also one of my absolute favourite games ever made. It’s my second-most played game ever, too.
We usually put up Christmas decorations and listen to Christmas music starting November 12 where I live.

I’m exactly the same. Dark Souls 1 & 3, Elden Ring, Sekiro, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Hitman probably make up >95% of my playtime in recent years. I just replay them over and over again. I’ll occasionally replay other games I used to play one time, but I very rarely will try out a new game, and if I do I almost always default back to one of my staples after a couple hours.
That other comment talking about it due to exhaustion is definitely the reason for me I think. The last ~2.5 years I’ve had a lot more responsibilities at work, and now I’ve got a baby at home, so on the rare occasion I actually have energy to play a game, it’s gonna be something I know I’ll have fun with. It’s going to be even worse soon I suspect due to work. I applied for a manager job and feel pretty confident I’m gonna get it, but of course that means I’ll likely have even less energy after work to play games. Oh well. Such is life.
