Yep. YouTube must include a manifest with each video to tell the player what time ranges are un-skippable. Baked in ads were doomed from the beginning 🤡

Come on man, you’re breaking the echo chamber. We’re here to shit on Google, not give them more money
They’ll probably include a manifest with the video, telling the player what time ranges are un-skippable. A script could hook into that, and auto-skip them
I mean, they’re not the embodiment of Perfection, but they get the job done
And also avoid using HDR
If you hold down the escape button, it will deny all the UAC requests as they come in. It’s pretty satisfying to watch, actually
SpaceX is not publicly traded, so there are no (public) shareholders to be beholden to
I would’ve approved that too. Doesn’t look like the Challenger explosion to me! Of course, I don’t know what the Challenger explosion looks like, but maybe I’m in the minority here 🤔
I charged my EV overnight from an overhead garage door power socket in my apartment for years before I moved out. Never even needed public charging. Many people just don’t realize you can charge from a normal household outlet
Yeah, that’s definitely not enough RAM to run any kind of lightweight UI. Especially not an automotive music remote control client 🤔
The 3rd gen Nest Thermostat also has 512MB of RAM, and it isn’t too much of a potato to be a thermostat, complete with animated UI. Author of this article has a severe lack of imagination

For smoke alarms, I recently picked up one of these Z-Wave smoke alarm relays. It attaches to your existing smoke alarm interconnect circuit, and pairs with a Z-Wave hub such as this one. Add that to Home Assistant with Z-Wave JS, and pair it to HomeKit with the HomeKit Bridge integration, and you’ve got smart smoke alarms!
Nice! I’m loving mine! Such a cool car
Can confirm. Was shopping around for cars, and settled on either a 2023 WRX Limited, or a fully loaded 2022 Polestar 2. Both around $37k in the US. Chose the Polestar, and now I don’t have to pay for gas, let alone premium gas
Seems like that would foil a plugin, but I think it would effectively kill video scrubbing, or simultaneous streams, depending on how that restriction was implemented. I still don’t see this working well for YouTube
