By thermostat are we talking about heating? I’m cold-tolerant so I typically set mine to 15.5 C. If it gets any colder than that indoors it comes on

Artist here. I don’t use any of those and use my eyes. Using AI to try and detect AI always rubs me the wrong way because the false positive rate is high. I’ve even seen Van Gogh paintings get wrongfully labeled as being AI-generated
Good lord, you’re right that thing is terrifying!
I love Australia but I’ve always wondered what exactly it is about Australia that made evolution go “yes, let’s make this place like Master Mode in BOTW where everything is OP, wants to kill you, and can one-shot you”
Yes, mostly to health charities that pertain to researching serious medical conditions which currently have no cure.
I’ve had both LCD monitors and OLED monitors and I’d say in terms of preference I prefer OLED. I’m an artist, so while I do mind the decrease in brightness compared to LCDs, after getting accustomed it’s a small price to pay for the higher contrast and colour accuracy!
Sounds like a fun ride, but there was no orbit, nor were they flying the ship. I feel more inspired by the women who have went into orbit far above the Karman line and have flown spacecraft.
Dr? Doctor.
Thirst? Unquenched.
Hotel? Trivago.
The Wizard of Oz. Such a good movie!
Same! Lemmy is one of my favourite places on the internet and it’s comfy to me. I’m also excited to watch it grow and become more popular! 😃
The easiest way I can articulate this is if I see someone step on something sharp, I’ll instantly recoil and feel pain in my foot even though I haven’t stepped on anything. It’s almost like you share a part of their consciousness in a way
Being able to picture something in my mind, and having that picture be as realistic as real life! I actually found out this wasn’t normal here on Lemmy, so not all that long ago! 😅
Was just about to delete the comment that had screenshots in it but I see that was already removed (I’ve also deleted it off of my profile too, and deleted comments that contain links to threads which include the photos). I’m not entirely well versed on the Lemmy software, but is there any way for the Fediverse to block or potentially identify the person behind the “Nicole” accounts via IP/browser/automated systems or something?
I haven’t, but I will now!
I get told I’m pretty often and I believe it from experience. A running gag with me is that rough and tough guys (rednecks/bogans/chavs or whatever the word is for these people in your country) who would normally be really aggressive to other people are instantly nice to me just because of how I look.
I love good guys who look like they’re bad guys.
This looks like it’d make a sick album cover
It’s a way of getting easy engagement with minimal effort. There’s so many videos on YouTube lately where it becomes really obvious that they were sloppily made using AI. They’re all so… same-y, with the weirdly coloured text, grammatical errors and a looping AI generated video in the background.
