Years of nail biting
Edit: I mean also the genes for a different thumb shape that inherently has a shorter nail in the first place; but besides that, the nails that are even shorter than the others in this pic would be due to habitual nail biting
I love him
I used to live in the area and the “massive flooding all the time” is literally nothing compared to the amount of devastation in the area currently. Entire communities have literally been obliterated by landslides. Thousands of people are stranded because of damaged roads. Hundreds of thousands are still without power. In some isolated areas it is going to take weeks/months to rebuild infrastructure to even access the areas, let alone repair homes and return electricity.
I’m actually upset, because your comment is implying that this is a run-of-the-mill occurrence in the area. This is an unprecedented tragedy and the worst flooding the area has seen since 1916 (and this time it affects thousands more people because of growth in the region.)
Fixed cats live longer. Spaying decreases the likelihood of cats developing certain types of cancers.
Friends of mine literally last week had to put their cat down because she developed breast cancer and rapidly deteriorated (we’re talking painful skin ulcers here.) If the cat had been spayed at a young age, she would likely still be here.
And as others have said, spaying is the wise choice in case she were ever to accidentally get outside.
Everything about this is amazing. The spooning. The multitude of curled feetsies. The pudgy belly with the black tail curl on top. 10/10
This post led me down a 2 hour binge of various cave Wikipedia articles. I’m not complaining, it was really neat. Thanks for sharing this!
I love his coat coloring! Like the front half is tuxedo and the back half is tortie. What a cutie pie.
I haven’t edited the photo to confirm but I don’t think that’s true. I think the bottom piece is installed upside down. So to fix it, you’d flip that one around and put it back in that space, then take out the next two moving vertically and switch where they are each placed. Then you have a nice straight line where the bumpy brick sidewalk ends.
Idk the source, but if you zoom in, it looks like maybe the notch is the top of a speech bubble. So I think it’s an identical frame with the bubble on top of the last one.
I say this largely to convince myself it’s not worth staring at any more 😅
Women are you going out of town for the weekend of the day 😄
It suggested the emoji too
Everyone is so impressed 💀 Y’all, he’s spraying. You can see his pee drops land on the bed in the first clip 😅
Our kitty is Scout, who we call Scooty. And sometimes Scooter/Scooterella/Scooterbutt/Scootypuff Junior. She prefers the Xbox controller over the Steamdeck though.
Cool! A TNR kitty!
If you see a stray with an eartip (the top point removed from one ear) this is a sign of a Trap-Neuter-Return cat. It’s the sign that an outdoor kitty has been caught, fixed, and then returned to their outdoor home. It means some humans care about this cat and their colony 🙂
More on ear tipping. More on TNR.
Being more active again is such a good sign! Happy to hear good news about Blue.
Donated, best of luck to you two, and hoping for the best outcome for Blue.
Kitty belly 😻
Seconding the lactose intolerance, I’ve also heard that most cats can’t tolerate it well. My baby girl (11) loves to beg for yogurt but she gets a dime-sized dollop at most, otherwise I’m cleaning up kitty barf within the hour.
It’s also true that kitties (and dogs) shouldn’t eat onions or garlic as alliums are toxic to them, in a single large enough quantity or over time. And we don’t want to feed any animals cooked chicken bones as they are way too brittle and can break into dangerous shards.
That said, a cat wrote this infographic and put turkey and shrimp in the top section 😅
Okay I agree that subscriptions are dumb, especially when you already own something. And I know capitalism is a fucking hellhole.
However, they did not steal the money you paid them. It has been 1,279 days since April 11th 2021. You paid $2.15 total for the app, per your screenshot. Assuming you used the game every day, let’s break down that cost to cents per day. It works out to 0.168ths of a cent per day for ownership during this time. For a game you clearly enjoyed playing, you paid about a cent per week, which was used to pay the employees who were supporting the maintenance and possibly further development of the app. that money wasn’t stolen, it was used to support the thing that you enjoyed.
Does it suck that you can’t use it anymore? Absolutely!
Should you be able to own your purchases forever? Yes!
Is the system fucked? You better believe it!
Did they steal $2.15 from you? … no.
