I think once or twice in the first couple of months of transitioning that started about four years ago and we’re still talking and helping each other indicates that there’s no hard feelings. It’s also not like I’m neutral on the subject otherwise. The people in this friend group know that I’m an ally on this subject. They also know I can even flub names when I get tired.

Something people don’t consider is that lighter cars can have better ranges with smaller batteries. That also means it doesn’t take as long to charge the batteries when you stop somewhere for lunch. The Aptera is the only EV that’s light enough to get away with pure solar charging for most use cases. An aluminum beetle with solar covering the roof might be close as well.

Japan loves wrapping everything in plastic. They and the US were the only ones not to sign a promise reduce plastic usage. For all the appearances of Japan being eco conscious, they have this one big issue.

This is more stubborn, cultural issues. Russia has poor areas because the wealthy don’t feel rich without poor people to look down on and poor people in those areas view themselves as more rugged and strong without modern conveniences(although once a rural Russian tries some modern living while in school, they don’t go home). Similar circumstances with rural Americans.

Yeah, which is why I’ve never owned an iPhone. Hell, I was pretty big into Apple a while ago, but I never bought into the iOS. The OS convergence is why I completely jumped ship.
