The train not being anatomically? Correct is the real cherry on this meme. The autistic engagement it generates could power a city and I love that for them.

21·4 days agoToday I realized I’m too outta the loop on games since halo 3.
Oh for sure, the broader argument to me would be about sugar subsidies. I don’t support subsidizing the sugar/corn/meat industries. If I had a magic wand I’d much rather those taxes subsidize more nutrient dense foods.
I don’t think it was the Mexican farmers that gave us diabeetus. I’d blame it on the sugar cartels in the US.

History Memes@piefed.social•We need more disposable workers... time for another batch of 'dissidents' to be sent to GULAG!
13·6 days agoI don’t know much about it but from what I hear the soviets could have done better with the way the work was distributed. I was told Lenin essentially disbanded the soviets (unions?) that would have handled the deligation of labor. I refuse to read theory though so I’m just gonna speculate.

2·16 days agoIt was more of a general question if you’re open to that. I’m unaware if there is a profile section on Lemmy to know if people consent to being message directly. So, I just ask if it’s cool.
You seems really knowledgeable so I’m imagining someone might want to ask sensitive questions.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Fashion is just someone popular telling you that you should wear the clothes that they like.
191·17 days agoI always saw fashion as art. I’ve always understood it as something to be communicated.
Intentionally tight clothing is like bad art to me. Form fitting clothing that has an interesting aesthetic? That’s good art.
T-shirt and jeans? Working class art.

Games@lemmy.world•Video games are losing the "attention war" to gambling, porn, and crypto, according to industry reportEnglish
181·20 days agoHey buddy, those live service shovelware games are manufactured by Shovel-Spyware-Freemium Holdings Inc. They are returning valuable profits back to their shareholders!
And isn’t that what video games are really about anyway? Think of the shareholders.
Okay. I guess that’s just your opinion then.
If those blogs are “unreliable, bias, full of fake news” then, yeah I guess. Again, I haven’t run into those problems with articles on Lemmy.
Could you point me to an example of your experience?

I tell everyone at my part time job that we need Linux on their systems. I know nothing about Linux servers. Lemmy has convinced me most institutions would benefit from the switch.
