I use nix package manager on fedora silverblue. It’s awesome.
Have you met nix?

I love the nix package manager on fedora atomic
To be fair, it looks simple compared to really difficult stuff
Sure. I’m no fan of most proton products anyway anymore because their products don’t work with other software like calendar only works with their apps. I use vpn, pass and mail but the rest isn’t too useful for me and I rather use nextcloud. Not because their products are trash but because I want something slightly different.
As always, it’s different people working on different products.

Fedora atomic, e.g. silverblue, not traditional fedora. It still wants to reboot after each update but I don’t see it and when I reboot, it boots into the update.
No. That’s not how it works. It installs a new image alongside the current one and once you boot again it simply boots into the new image. Never ever wait for an update again.

On fedora atomic all updates are automatic. I don’t even see that they happen. They just happen in the background. I love it.
I published some packages under MIT a couple of years ago. It is difficult to understand at first, I was happy with the license because anyone could use it like they want.
Today, I understand that I want to use GPL. With GPL everyone can use the code like they want and I can use their code like I want.
And apple users had money.
Linux users still have money
