I mean… now I feel guilty.
Yet, as everyone learned from Roger Rabbit, cartoon characters are made from the finest latex-rubber products in the universe! (eh, provided there’s no “dip” lurking in the area)

Ah, a return to the roots (with a twist). Good to see.
I’m not sure that’s really the opposite side, in reality.
Oh dear. oO
Less disgusting, too. (late reply alert)
I mean what are you trying to imply there, Gallagher…?!
This is from 1969:

I wouldn’t be surprised if the original joke goes back to the silent movie era.
Understood; just wanted to add on.
My point is more or less that this doesn’t have to be a closed-book situation about fish oil. Maybe it can help in some other way, and/or maybe it really can work as ‘advertised’ in conjunction with other substances. Certainly wouldn’t be the first time, if so.
Best webcomic I’ve read in a while. The intrinsic hilarity of the situation was ridiculously refreshing compared to the usual ‘straining to come up with something funny / clever.’
Most fish oil is completely ineffective:
I’ve personally noticed some powerful effects from fish oil: 1) it can act as a neotropic booster, particularly in conjunction with SRI’s and similar meds / substances, 2) it can cause me significant insomnia (no arrhythmia) if I take ~6-8 capsules.
Is that germane to this thread? Probably not, but something seems to be going on. Maybe fish oil has been studied so far on too limited a basis.
Thanks, Blaze.
Appreciate. ^^

I think when they said that, the implication was that there was no need for such. I.e. it interrupted the flow of the story and didn’t add anything useful, other than perhaps pandering to a certain crowd.
Oh rabbits. Sorry FP, as soon as I’m done with Elvis, okay?
Seems kind of weirdly unnecessary to start with “Lemmy” instead of just going with TMBG, but whatevs. Subscribed to John & John.
Yeap, we’ve talked about that a few times now, and I thoroughly approve of and love your project (even listing it on my community sidebar).
I’m moreso curious what the heck’s going through Gallagher’s mind these days. Quality-wise it’s kind of shocking comparing his earlier stuff to current, and I’m not really talking about the absurdism.
I’ve remarked this before, but I find it kind of unsettling how careless / sloppy Gallagher has become over the years in drawing Orangecat.
I’d guess some of that simply reflects his slackening attention to artistry, detail and original ideas over time, but it almost seems like there’s more… such as actual contempt towards the main characters or comic as a whole. Sort of like the opposite of clear-line geniuses such as Ketchum and Schulz right to the end.
I tried searching for annual subscribers just now and found nothing, but I’d be kind of shocked if the newspaper count hadn’t gone down in recent years due to the strip becoming more incomprehensible (even annoying maybe) to the average reader.

Umm… whoah
Brilliant. Best of all three.
Love you @Rolando@lemmy.world, but I spazzed out recently after a full year of pressing too hard for a ‘post per day,’ and I feel like I dishonored everyone here when I melted down recently. (I’m super-embarrassed)
So I appreciate the mention, but regardless of how I embarrassed the community, I can’t aim for one scholarly post per day, anymore. I just can’t. Sorry about that, matey.
Now I do plan to keep on posting as the mood seeks me, but I just CAN’T keep the community popular like this, all on my own. Even just a little bit of help would go far.
Ugh, sorry for all the bitching and moaning. :S
