Firefox with Ghostery add-on, mostly because its built-in cookie-nag blocker. Also use Bitwarden and Dark Reader. Pretty much the same setup on both desktop and mobile.
Locales are basically impossible to permanently remove. It always keeps popping back after disabling it and the option to hide it is always buried deeper and deeper with every Windows update. I have Windows set to another language than my kb and never swap kb-layout. Doesn’t mean i want to waste taskbar space with the locale-icon 🤬
The downside would be getting less content and perhaps worse content, as the platforms would not spend the exorbitant levels on content anymore.
What happended with forcing interoperability with different services like WhatsApp and Messenger? Would be great if we could just have one app for all messages like on Windows Phone back in the day 🙏
Is it recommended to create an account specifically for Mastodon or just use your Lemmy-account? Will it fuck up my feeds/subs in some way if I only use one account for both? (I’m new to the whole fediverse thing)
