OP, have you watched:
- Doctor Who
- Black Mirror
OP, have you watched:
A Battery Daddy, which stores batteries in a clear case and has its own battery tester inside. It’ll probably end up being less goofy and more useful.
Trader Joe’s smoked sardines in olive oil is delicious.
Sorry to derail but what do people think of air gap or air tube wired headphones? Do you think they are necessary?
In this case, the magazine created fake journalists with fake bios and used them.in the bylines. I would think that’s a kind of fraud and definitely hurts the magazine’s trustworthiness. The article goes into other publications that have also used fake journalists with their bylines in AI produced articles. I think if they were more transparent- say, labeling an article “AI created content” - it wouldn’t be as much of an issue.
This also doesn’t address errors in the AI produced articles (which could be solved by having a real life fair checker or editor).
Maybe just focus on limiting food highest in Isoleucine.
Neither. They get in the way when I put on my backpack.
Same score here and same sentiment.
That gave me pause, too. But I have a family member who bought a house at around 19 - a fixer upper in a semi rural area in Georgia (the US state) with a down-payment from his family. His dad helped him repair it and make it liveable. So that’s lending some verisimilitude to the story.
What’s the point in complaining about something when you’re stuck in the situation and nobody is going to do anything to help anyways?
Yep, this is likely what you’re working on in therapy - the sadness and disappointment and maybe even depression that come after complaining and people do not support you or meet your needs. You were placed in a really unfair (ETA: and probably overwhelming and stressful) situation- raising yourself and your brother without people helping you. I’m sending you an electronic hug, Internet stranger.
Not the person you responded to, but I’m someone who thinks a therapist would be helpful or life enhancing for many people. Pretty much half the people I know are or have been in therapy (and I say half because that’s about the number who have mentioned it to me).
Re the person in the OP, I would imagine that there’s something psychological causing (ETA: or exacerbating) his issues. He’s 30 and has never been kissed, cried uncontrollably at the platonic touch of a friend’s wife, and seems to be in crisis over the incident and the fact that his 22 year old friend has a happy marriage. If it’s not something that could be worked in in therapy, what do you think would help him otherwise?
You were extremely lucky with that interest. Congrats! What are you both planning/doing for retirement now? Are you going to try to max your contributions to make up for cashing out?
Yes, can someone tell us what the green text said? I don’t see any image or link.
I do the same with YT Music and tolerate the ads. Then, when they hit on a few songs I’m enjoying, I go to Newpipe and play playlistss or extended version of the songs/artists. I also build my own playlists in Newpipe.
If I discover a song I like IRL (say, on the radio or in the background of a video), I add it to both YT Music and Newpipe (e.g., I’m listening to Chaleya from the movie Jawan on Newpipe right now, discovered when I was out and about).
ETA: Newpipe also offers auto-enqueing, which might lead to more discovery.
Thank you - I’m adding these to my list! And yes, I’m a Good Place fan. I didn’t mention it because OP mentioned recently seeing it.
If we’re talking Paul F. Tompkins we should also recommend the original run of Mr. Show (starring Bob Odenkirk and David Cross). A hilarious and extremely influential sketch comedy show.
And if we mention David Cross we should also recommend the original seasons of Arrested Development. One of the most well written sitcoms ever.
Please watch them - they’re very different but both great. What shows not on my list would you recommend?
I love sitcoms but beneath their light exterior they always have a heart of darkness, or at least a trace of one. But given your OP, I figure you can handle a teensy bit of a shadow side. Here are some generally upbeat shows with lots of laughs.
Catastrophe- I think it strikes the right balance of optimism in the face of doubt. It’s light but not saccharine. It’s my favorite sitcom.
It Crowd
Black Books
30 Rock
Black-ish
Adventure Time
Mentioned in lots of other replies:

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Brooklyn 99
Taskmaster
WILTY
I can’t wait to tie my entire financial life to X.
You can try NewPipe, which is free. IIRC I downloaded it from F-Droid. Maybe someone else can reply and confirm that’s the best place to get it.
