I finally got angry enough to write Biden a letter, but who knows if he actually read it or not (probably not, but I did get a reply). It didn’t seem to help much. All the protests aren’t helping much. What can the people do to stop the govenment’s support of Israel?

Definitely this. It seems MVs with a leveling system either aren’t popular, or are too hard to balance. Plus there’s the giant inventory of weapons and gear that would probably be too time-consuming to create for most game devs.

I heard that too, but I’m no historian. What certainly is different now is having the internet; everyone who cares is staying informed and seeing what Israel is doing to Palestinians in almost real time. Not that we can do much about it.

I suggest writing some letters to choice politicians.… Maybe you can get past the thick, dead tissue surrounding what remains of their hearts.

Maybe try using a file to make flat sides on the outside of the head so you can use a wrench on it? (Not sure if that would be better or worse than the Dremel/slot idea… you would risk scratching the surface of the object it’s on.)

If another country came into ours and started driving people out, cutting down food trees and putting in settlements, you bet we’d be pissed. But it’s like our politicians have zero empathy and can’t imagine us being in another’s shoes. I know politics requires making hard choices, but must every top politician be a sociopath? It’s very imbalanced.

Similarly to what the other guy said, I believe it’s because the ruling class wants to keep their power no matter what. Any burgeoning movement that threatens their hegemony can be nipped in the bud before it blossoms, because ‘the eye sees all’, or at least it wishes to.

Most people don’t realize (or don’t care) just how one-sided our relationship with the government and corporations has gotten. The elites have a monopoly on violence, psychology, surveillance and means. If you were to start a movement that promises real change, you’d find it falling apart before it ever truly got started because you don’t have all the things I mentioned.

I don’t have a favorite ‘actual’ war, but my answer is the the internal war. Some of us fight harder and take more damage than others, and some don’t have much conflict at all… or at least that’s how it seems. 9/11. My first thought when watching TV that day was ‘Bush did this’. Now maybe he did or maybe he didn’t, but it’s clear as day the US was just itching pass the Patriot Act and go to war. Every year since then has shown me this country’s government couldn’t give a shit about poor and downtrodden people in other countries. In fact, the US is doing the trodding, and the poor of this country are also in its sights.

At least we still have social programs here, which is good thing, but it feels like something left over from when more people cared.

I really, really wish the US would get the f out of the Middle East, stop arming Israel and begin making reparations. Unfortunately, those of us wanting peace tend to be meek (up to a point), which isn’t a bad thing. Meek people can be strong enough to build a more stabile society, but a lot of unfortunate things are going to have to take place first.
