I didn’t know exactly, off hand who Brian Blessed was but immediately recognized him in a video and I totally agree with you he would have been perfect.

I can appreciate this take, I know he’s a popular character and I read somewhere that Jack Black would be the only actor capable of pulling off the role which absolutely makes sense to me (and honestly does make re-reading more entertaining.) I get it, I just don’t like him. The world around him is falling to darkness and he just doesn’t care. No one really knows what he’s capable of outside of his realm because he likes his life with Goldberry and again just doesn’t care about anything else. I always saw him as representative of those apolitical people who didn’t care enough to stop fascist regimes take over their own country because they only cared about their own day to day life and couldn’t be bothered to vote or fight for anything. I’m glad they took him out of the movies, it flows better and fits the tone of everyone coming together in a fellowship to defeat evil. 🤷‍♀️

Lol. This might not be popular BUT there’s a reason he doesn’t make the cut in the movies or extended cut releases. Tom Bambodil is basically middle earth’s “MyStErIoUs WaYs.” This is a hot take but I would almost go so far as to say his existence in the world ruins the book, his songs/poetry are terrible and he’s just kind of there. He is meant to be a mysterious figure that lends to the overarching mystery of the world, one who has always been around and is so powerful he is basically a god, but doesn’t actually give a shit about the world outside of himself or the suffering of others. I see him as a vestige of JRRT’s catholicism seeping through, this ultimate force that could end the war but didn’t because reasons.

The Fountain, it’s one of those movies that just absolutely blew me away and I had to have it but I’m just never quite in the emotional state to revisit yet I still recommend. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and devastating. What Dreams May Come is a very close second, but I feel like after Robin Williams’ death it’s even more so, but the movie itself is just so beautifully done and heart wrenching.

This is one of the greatest lines in cinematic history, hands down.

I thought I was going crazy but the last time I used Google maps right as I was at a fork a Walgreens™️ ad took over the whole screen and I was like wtf, thankfully I wasn’t driving so I was able finagle out of it, but it literally took over and we drove past it. I am also looking for alternatives, I’ve been thinking about getting a Garmin for my car, but I’ll be absolutely damned if they think I’m going to tolerate ads that can get me lost in pensly-tucky 😡

Why yes! So I found myself in a similar position a few months back, I have 2 big boys (18 and 20 pounds) and while I had three boxes, they would only use one and pee on each other’s spot so it would always be wet and you know that goes. Anyway, I mulled it over for a long time because they are pricey, they have generally mixed reviews and my cats are large and in charge. Well, I was wine shopping and Costco had a really good price on the litter bot brand, it had a whole set and extras and I was like imma treat myself. The litterbox was always my chore and if I didn’t clean it out twice a day the house would absolutely stink, I tried all kinds of powders, air fresheners and it would just not help. Okay the litter bot has been an absolute game changer. Mine doesn’t separate poop/pee it just all clumps and dumps into a bottom tray. I have been using less litter (now I use a fancy clumping grass based litter because my boys are spoiled and mustn’t have clay) and as long as I keep the bottom tray under control, I don’t even think about it. I didn’t realize how much of a mental load the littlebox was until it wasn’t. It did take my younger cat a little while to adjust but now he uses it just fine. My partner read that if you stop cleaning the backup box they will eventually get grossed out into using the scary robot one, and it worked lol. They have a lot of budget ones too, and if you have 4 cats you’ll probably want at least 2, but I can’t sing enough praises about it. It’s definitely a splurchase I’m glad I indulged in.
