Why does “World News” on lemmy.world give an ass about the American election season? Why was this not instituted during the elections which happened in India? We have like a billion people.

Lack of people is genuinely nice for now as Lemmy is still lacking moderation features
I miss Gintama… Time for a rewatch
Is it just me or is a sample size of 7500 low for a population of 1 billion+?
It’s a case of being stupid enough to love it.
Sounds like you care about the nerds more than they care about him? No one even mentioned him in this thread so what are you wafflin on about?

I can’t believe how good Google’s Circle to Search actually is lol. The one in the picture looks like the Grey Blue variant.
Is there an “Xbox One only games not present on any other platforms” list because Halo 5 is playable on a Series console.
I’m still not sure what the fuck I just read
That’s where most of the gaming population of the world is innit? Excluding China, if a game doesn’t have a playerbase in the US it’s very unlikely to chart on Steam and is therefore unlikely to be “popular”. Only exceptions are games like Football Manager and they are not the norm.
Does it matter? The scale of population makes US literally irrelevant in this conversation.
One of the skulls in Halo 3 was found by hackers in game scripts, a decent number of secrets in the indie game Fez were found by reverse engineering or brute force. Not to mention game guides in even older days.
So no it’s not really always been “shrouded in doubt and mystery”.
Give that tester a raise bro
Yeah I’m still scared of switching on 2FA in case something goes wrong.
It’s amazing how so many factors perfectly line up to make Earth a habitable planet. Shame we’re hell bent on destroying it.
I have an account that I use to read, but I’ve never posted on Mastodon. Decided to tweet after seeing this post and I see a privacy option called “Quiet Public - Fewer Algorithmic Fanfares”.
Seriously, wtf is this? What does that even mean? If techie people like me can’t figure out Mastodon then you can’t expect the general public to do that. I’m not blaming this feature in particular, but Mastodon is quirky in all the wrong ways.
