I’ve never worked in the service industry, so that might still be a thing, but even if it is, that shouldn’t have to exist.

They missed a step. "Waiter is paid below the already sad minimum wage because tips are somehow factored into their paycheck. "
Also don’t forget the folks working in the back of the house. Tip if you’re able, despite our shitty system.
Finally!
We got our 2 kids laptops for Christmas that are now running Linux, and steam, so I’m doing my part. They previously didn’t have their own computers, so this should count.
Decades late, but I’ll take it. Do Monsanto next.
I’m a big sci-fi nerd, and the primary quest was so, so good in my opinion. I tried out the base building feature and it really felt worthless, but the combat and story are so really fun.
I like starfield. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but I think the amount of shit it gets is unwarranted.
Ed Zitron is amazing. That dude just says it like it is.
Shake hands with beef ;-)
Les Claypool has entered the chat.
They all gasped and freaked out because they thought I was hurt, but then I popped right back up and they all laughed, for what it’s worth.
It was probably only 5 or 6 feet to the ground. I was very, very lucky to walk away unscathed.
I once went to a friend’s party in college, who’s house I had never been to before. Everyone was just chilling in the hot tub and asked me to get in. It was pitch black at night, and there was only one open spot in the tub. I went to walk around the deck, but apparently the hot tub was on the edge of the deck. I took a confident stride towards the open spot, where the deck apparently ended, did a complete front flip into the lawn and landed on my feet. Completely unscathed.
I could have landed on my neck and been paralyzed, but but some sheer luck, it all worked out.
No, but I never miss a chance to punch down at Florida.
Why is Florida still there?
There are services like Rover that can come check on your pet and take them for a walk. It’s fairly affordable in my experience. And as for when to say goodbye? If your pup is in pain or isn’t enjoying life, look into a service like Peaceful Passage. They come to you and although it’s great wrenching to say goodbye, they do a great job.
We went through this with our elderly pup during the height of COVID. Best of luck in whatever choice you make.
I love hard sci-fi/fantasy and Pacific Drive checks so many boxes for me, but between the tedious controls, and the only reward for advancing in the game is more tedium, I just couldn’t go on. Why can’t you save in the zone?? The further you get on the map, the longer each run gets. I have kids and can’t spend 3 hours at a time without being able to save in a game. It bugged me so much that I submitted a constructively worded support ticket.
It looks like they just released a big update to address some of these quality of life issues, so I’ll give it another chance, but I’m not getting my hopes up.
Hot take: I’m fine with Bethesda taking their time to release a game if that means it’ll be higher quality. There are thousands of games released a week. Hi play something else in the meantime.
