This vulnerability fundamentally undermines data security, particularly in the cloud environment where many users share the same hardware resources.
Intel gets punched again.
We do too much of it.
Thriving on solitude is a learned skill. It takes most people time to get used to. Some never do and desperately jump between relationships. This is just my personal observations.

71·6 months agoWhat happens when you give advanced weapons to people with no qualifications and tell them to shoot when they see a blip on the screen?
The lesson is to be more responsible with dangerous equipment. Russians don’t care. Can always just blame someone else when things go wrong.

363·6 months agoI have one PC on gnome and another on kde. I like them both for what they are. I lean towards gnome though. Looks nice, feels nice. I don’t find myself needing more functionality than what is there. I tried mimicing gnome in kde, for fun. Didn’t quite get there. I appreciate simplicity where possible.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it normal to be constantly scared about how your friend will react to anything about you?
18·7 months agoSounds like you need to distance yourself from this individual. They are not your friend.
A normal friendship does not leave you anxious or scared of their reactions no matter what you are up to, however private you want to be or how little time you spend with them. You don’t have to agree on everything or enjoy everything the same way. A friend is someone whos company you enjoy from time to time. But have no obligation to please or requirement to spend time with.
Posting private information about you on the internet sounds very bad. I’d ask them to refrain from that. Escalate that to relevant authoity if it doesn’t stop.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is it so hard for people to concede even small points when discussing charged topics?
3·7 months agoProbably cause kids ridicule you hard if you are wrong or stand out. When you grow up, you might learn to have your own opinions, but you might never unlearn the various defens mechanisms and feelings of ridicule that developed as a result of kids around you scrutinizing you and your opinions.
They don’t want to hear it cause it is uncomfortable. And they feel like they are loosing respect and getting attacked. They rather sweep it under the rug and forget about it, sometimes not learning from it at all. Humans are also lazy.
Being wrong gracefully is a learnt skill.
