Both Project Zomboid and Old School Runescape. Dropped both of them quick the first time around and now they are the only two games I play

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Can we see a photo you took recently?
2·4 days agoThe book is called “The complete stories” and it’s all his fiction other than his novels. My buddy lent it to me, I’ll probably pick up my own copy when he wants it back if that says anything. The Burrow was a story from the perspective of what seems to be a mole, his meticulous process of planning and constructing his burrow, and his endless anxieties related to defending it. I loved it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Can we see a photo you took recently?
10·5 days agoMost recent image I took. Was reading The Burrow by Kafka and realized my train stop was coming up and I didn’t have my bookmark.

Honestly I have no idea, it was about a decade ago or more. I thought everyone went under for it until my most recent girlfriend told me that she got hers out with local anaesthetic.
When I woke up from having my wisdom teeth out, I had crazy and terrifying hallucinations all the way home. While we were parked waiting for something, I saw someone run up, press their face against my window, and scream my name while slamming their fists on the window. I closed my eyes and curled up into a ball, and I was instantly in some sort of cave system underground that was rapidly collapsing and burying me alive. I don’t remember much else but my mom said I was freaking out the whole way home.
I’m terrified of anesthesia now and I have yet to find any explanation for what happened to me.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you woke up a billionaire tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
2·7 days agoOK how about this actually… All the money came from deleting the existing billionaires from reality.
Alternate premise would be “What if everyone in the world would give you anything or do any service for you for free, feel good about it, and be enriched by it in whatever way needed for it not to be exploitative”

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you woke up a billionaire tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
3·7 days agoThe premise is like… magic or something, dude. The premise is not that you are a philosophical zombie and gain billions of dollars through actual capitalism only to one day suddenly gain sentience.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you woke up a billionaire tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
5·7 days agoI’d probably put an entire university worth of professors on payroll, along with an army of neurodivergence specialists to make it so I could actually make use of them. If I had functionally infinite money I could become so fucking gigabrain. The saving the world stuff should go without saying since we are all ensouled beings unlike the ghoulish husks who actually have billions of dollars.

Seattle@lemmy.world•What ritual could be used to dub one a Seattleite?English
6·9 days agoPeople don’t connect like that here. If they did, the first rite would surely be to step over a homeless person without making eye contact.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How many people would it take to overwhelm a fully functioning military in a nuclear state?
2·15 days agoNo, it’s completely right. At the time of writing, it did literally mean all able men of fighting age. This was determined by the supreme court in 2008. That’s not to say there weren’t specific militia organizations, but it’s not what the amendment is specifically referring to.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How many people would it take to overwhelm a fully functioning military in a nuclear state?
5·15 days agoIt’s worth noting that at the time of writing, the words “well-regulated militia” referred to all fighting age men of sound mind. It wasn’t a thing to join or train for.

My message was meant as a joke but I was actually curious if someone with dyslexia would have difficulty reading it, so thanks for letting me know
