Seriously? Did you just feign outrage for all those employees who blew up 5 billion in taxpayers dollars? The ones who jump up and down cheering like deranged cult members each time one of their rockets blows up, excited they received a Participation ribbon for coming in dead last?

You do realize SpaceX will never make it to the moon, much less Mars, right? I will never understand how people can watch Musk lie, OVER AND OVER, about his solar tiles, his Boring bullshit, his Hyperpoop, his full-self driving lies year after year after YEAR, but somehow think SpaceX is not run the same way, with the same lies.

SpaceX employees know they are designing shite, and they are just there for the paycheck. So yeah, much respect.

EDIT: Should we even discuss Leuders granting them the contract, then leaving NASA to work for SpaceX? SpaceX has missed EVERY SINGLE benchmark, every single deadline. Again, they were supposed to get us to the moon for 3B, and they are at 5B and can’t get an EMPTY rocket into orbit. SpaceX is out of govt money, but that won’t be a problem anymore, will it?

Just wait for the quid pro quo. SpaceX was supposed to get us back to the moon on 3 billion dollars. They are now at 5 billion dollars, and all they have to show for it is a flaming husk of a booster caught by “the chopsticks”.

For anyone who thinks that was some incredible accomplishment… NASA has been landing rovers on Mars using truly incredible engineering that makes SpaceX look like a bunch of kids eating Baby Ruth bars in the sandbox.

So if Elon gets appointed to a government position and starts awarding Tesla and SpaceX all kinds of extended taxpayer-funded gravy grift, you will know your pet theory is 100% spot on.

You’re so right!! Remember in the early 80’s when they deregulated the Savings and Loan Banks, expanding their authority to make loans and reducing regulatory oversight? What a great idea, that was. Getting rid of those unnecessary regulations really stimulated greedy white collar and political criminals, they stole everything they could until the whole system crashed, and that deregulation ended up costing taxpayers a 160 to 175 billion bailout in today’s dollars.

What a deal, right? What a boon to the economy, what a next level brain you’re working with. You know, every time we hear someone cry about the need to deregulate, it’s either a pirateer looking to steal more money from the taxpayers, or a useful idiot who drank their kool-aid.

  • In the past 6 months, Starlink satellites made 50,000 collision avoidance maneuvers. They now maneuver 275 times a day to avoid crashing into other space objects.

They use an on board AI to calculate the positions, but each time they course-correct, it throws off forecasting accuracy for several days. So a collision isn’t an if, it’s a when, and suddenly we’re in Kessler Syndrome territory. Or maybe enough people will eventually wake up and realize Musk was an actual idiot all along.

But until then, great, low pings for video calls. Hurray.

  • How about we check back in on your comment in say, oh, 5 years, when we become forcibly earthbound, victims of Kessler’s Syndrome? Because by then, a starlink satellite will collide with another creating a chain reaction of collisions, birthing an ever-growing cascading field of Elon’ space debris bukkake all over the Earth’s face.

But hey, Pocket Rocket Boy has got to have an excuse to keep launching so he can continue collecting his government welfare checks. $15.3 billion since 2003 and climbing.

  • It’s hilarious. Huffy’s idea is to turn Reddit into the Company Store… what’s that, all you unpaid moderators, all you users who spent countless hours posting essays of valuable information? You all want to ACCESS this content that was provided to us free, FOR FREE? EF YOU PAY ME.

He’s got to justify his $193 million compensation on the backs of the unpaid labor of moderators and users who provided the actual thing that made reddit valuable.

Steve Huffman is a carbuncle. When I quit Reddit, I ran a browser plug-in that deleted every single post and comment I ever made. I hope more people do this, and slowly lance this $193 million abscess.

  • The problem is with a shitty latch: the hood appears closed, but it’s not.

The OTA Update doesn’t fix the shitty mechanical latch - it still doesn’t latch consistently. What it fixes is another poor design choice: evidently, the car has sensors that can tell if the hood was closed correctly or not, but this was never turned on/programmed? The OTA Updates this so now the car can warn you when the shitty latch fails.

Or who knows, maybe they initially turned off that sensor because it was going off all the time because of the latch…
