Okay… but while you were typing all of this, you could have been cleaning. The motto stands.

Oh no, I agree with the latter, but aside from immediate cooking pots/pans/utensils, everything else is put away. I like the multitasking.
The biggest culprit to a dirty kitchen is someone that has never heard the phrase “if you got time to lean, you got time to clean”. My wife hates this philosophy, but when I’m done cooking and ready to plate, the kitchen is spotless. It must be witchcraft!

I bought one after using my Note 10+ for years and becoming hooked on the S Pen. The default program for taking notes on Samsung devices is literally called Notes, I’ve used it for years and it has been a boon to digitizing my all handwritten notes and drawings (I also use ibisPaint). The Samsung S Pen is a comfortable size, feels natural to use and very responsive. The S9+ is a little more pricey, but it has a 1440p AMOLED screen and is just gorgeous to look at and use. Highly recommended.
I wrote all of this and then looked up Obsidian to see what kind of software it is. You can use it for sure, though the S9+ might be overkill if you don’t need the drawing/writing capabilities. I have used my mechanical Bluetooth keyboard to it and that works great, but I tend to use Microsoft SwiftKey with the S Pen when I don’t have the luxury of sitting down to type. HTH

I mostly lose when my team is clueless (typical lack of situational awareness) or expects me to carry them (I don’t carry trash). That’s when I stop playing and start trolling. Either way, I’m having a good time.

gnomesaiyan@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Books to read for a beginner atheistEnglish23·13 days agoI was an atheist once, but I found that it didn’t solve fundamental questions about life and existence. Religion tries to do that but just ends up being man-made fairy tales used to control the masses to follow rules that follow some kind of morals but just end up not making any sense. Eastern philosophy and philosophy as a whole is the next most logical step to take.
I highly recommend reading/listening to Alan Watts (you can find lectures and transcripts online for free). There are other schools of thought, but his teachings and understandings are pretty straight forward and easy to digest (keep in mind some of it is a bit dated, he passed in 1973).
Also, the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu. Written for an emperor on how to rule and govern, the wisdom in it is very profound and can set you on the path to living a much more fulfilling life. For the most part, I now follow the Tao not as a religion but the natural flow of the universe, to a point I feel constantly in a state of “wu wei” (effortless action) which makes life so simple it feels like cheating.
Books I keep nearby:
- Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu
- The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are by Alan Watts
- The Wisdom of Insecurity by Alan Watts
- The Book of Five Rings by Musashi Miyamoto
- The Undiscovered Self by Carl Jung

It still runs great, but it’s showing its age, that’s for sure. I tried Enshrouded, but it was a slide show once I got out of the starter cave with lowest settings. At least it runs Satisfactory and that’s okay with me.

softly Don’t.
A waste of money. If you buy things just because of a brand’s name or popularity, I’m going to assume you’re a brainless sheep that just wants to “fit in”. Lose that mentality, be your own person and fuck the naysayers.

It’s just a mechanism of control because those with the power to share never learned to do so. They’re the kids at the playground hogging the swing set while everyone else is getting wood chips kicked in their face. Humanity in a nutshell.
Maybe not humorous, but I hope it paints a picture.
I hope your socks get wet.
I sympathize and it obviously rubbed off on me. My dad called my mother “the white tornado”. Legend has it if you stood still long enough, you’d get dusted.
