If so, a perfectly plausible outcome is actually being sentenced to jail
Not in a civil case, as other commenters pointed out. The plausible outcome will be this guy ceasing his business operations and paying Nintendo.

Except there’s no contemporaneous record of jesus either existing or being executed by the Romans, despite them keeping detailed records of people they did execute.
You’re right, we should just give bullies whatever they want because they have nuclear weapons.
This meme is 20 years old now, I bet there are kids repeating it who weren’t alive when it was first made and don’t even know where it comes from.
Fewer. Sorry, pet peeve of mine. If you can count the thing, it’s fewer, not less.
coprime
wish I could upvote you more than once just for the use of this word
It’s its own rant
I sympathise with the state of diabetic sensor apps, but can I just say that it makes me so happy when people understand and use correct grammar.
Some call him Phony Stark, or Lex Loser.
Same in the UK. I went with a bacterial infection a few weeks ago. It cost £0 for the Dr appointment and £9 for the antibiotics.
Another data point. I was taught critical thinking, particularly as it pertains to news sources as part of GCSE English - in 1987 at a normal comprehensive school in a fairly deprived area. Maybe the problem is that you can lead a horse to water etc.
Someone has come up with an installer for the Steamdeck as well:

no one is stopping anyone in Britain from drinking a litre of the most sugary of sodas.
The soft drink companies stopped us. With the exception of Coke, after the sugar tax came in, all the manufacturers replaced most of the sugar in their products with sweeteners on the presumption that consumers would not pay more for sugar. So the choice was taken away from us - you can’t buy the sugary versions any more!
Yep, and all our pop now tastes like ass with the vile sweeteners so fewer people drink it.
ChatGPT honestly scares me sometimes.
FYI they are called “public schools” because historically, anyone could go to them as long as they could afford the fee. The only other schools around at the time were faith schools. State schools in England would not exist until the 1880s, and in a form we’d recognize today until the 1940s
It’s possible they did. I think Dell briefly discussed it as an option, before using it as leverage to get cheaper Windows licenses from Microsoft. The EEE PC also shipped with its own Linux distro and appropriate hardware drivers.
This was why I said “nearly impossible” :)
Linux is close, but has some core flaws that will forever keep it out of mainstream acceptance by your average user.
It has nothing to do with any flaws within Linux itself. The problem is and has always been that it’s nearly impossible to buy a PC with any flavour of Linux pre-installed. Until that changes, Linux (on home user desktops) will never gain mainstream acceptance.
The show just sucks for a variety of other reasons.
Terrible writing. It’s been bloody awful for a few seasons now imo. I don’t care about the race or gender of any of the actors, but you’ve got to give me good storylines.
Maybe it’s anticompetitive conduct by the provider (like Microsoft using its market power on Outlook/Exchange to push other services like Teams over its competition)
That’s exactly what it is. They leveraged their dominance/monopoly in one market to gain a stranglehold on another market. It’s not exactly a new tactic for Microsoft either.
