well… it’s not.
Who goes there ?
well… it’s not.
I play games on Pop_OS (NVIDIA edition) and also run an AMD CPU. Great experience for 2 years now.
It’s a peertube instance.
you have to tap a link to go to the actual, often cookie-walled, website
Kind of like how RSS/Atom is not useful anymore. Most feeds don’t contain the actual articles, in an attempt to increase clicks and ad revenue. That’s just sad, I miss the old internet.

Yes you can, and should if that’s more your speed. I just prefer not to use corporate services if there’s an alternative.
The rtmp server can be run with docker https://hub.docker.com/r/tiangolo/nginx-rtmp/
I disagree. I stream my games to friends regularly. Currently using a more basic approach (nginx rtmp mod, playback with vlc) because it runs better on my vps as compared to owncast which is more feature complete, but there is an actual use case for a self-hosted streaming solution.
In case you don’t know, you can do an interactive rebase and amend any past commit, not only the latest.
If the commits were already pushed to a remote, you can still do it but need to add --force
or --force-with-lease
to your next git push
to make it overwrite the remote branch.
Putting everything on discord makes information unsearchable via search engines, which is objectivily not great. This recent habit is contributing to killing the web.
On a more subjective note, I just don’t like it. On the top of my head : Confusing interface, wont’ shut up about nitro, requires a phone number.
Yet somehow more expensive.
Cool to see. I might buy this game :)
I just run proton 8 and switch to experimental or GE when troubleshooting a game that doesn’t work, which is rare.
Thanks for the tip, unfortunately I play via proton so autohotkey is not an option. I tried autokey which is a linux alternative but weirdly, while the key swaps worked on the desktop, it didn’t have an effect within the game for some reason. I’m sure there is some way it can be done but I couldn’t be bothered spending the time fixing it for this game which I don’t have much hope i’ll even like.
Yes! I tried it again this weekend because of this. After all this time, you still cannot rebind the keys of the building mode, which is ridiculous and makes this game difficult to enjoy for me.
Very hyped for 2.0. I’m on yet another Factorio playthrough, this time on the steam deck. This game on the go is brilliant. Gamepad support is very good, framerate is solid. The devs really did a fine job.
Consider a dual boot if you ever try in out. You won’t be able to play all games on linux because of anti-cheat unfortunately 😔
Even the first versions of steam that came with hl2 back in the day were more usable than epic’s trash launcher.
I played this game so much as a kid. I’m eager to try out this new release.
