So long as you trust that no means no.
Migrant from fmhy, so starting afresh 🥲 🥲
So long as you trust that no means no.
In my case won’t matter company has deplyed Edge on all company Mac’s for better integration apparently. (͡•_ ͡• )
Great app.
Might be nice to also have a section for instances that the searched instance has defederated from.
I know this can be seen elsewhere but would be nice to have all the information in one place.
€250 is a hard price point but a Samsung A series is probably going to give the best performance for the money.
I use it on android as it’s privacy focused and allows encrypted sync across devices.
Works for me as I’m a phone and tablet only user with no desktop to organise sync.
I’ve tried others like Firefox but don’t like the interface on android tablet , no tabs so is just a bloated phone app. I tried opera but it doesn’t support my password manager so I’ve ended up sticking with Vivaldi and to be honest it’s a good overall experience.
Instagram also a great source for good food with simple recipes.
Me too. I’ve now migrated to feddit.uk , I was lucky that I had locally cached pages for my subscriptions so I was able to replicate them, all be it manually, but at least i now have a new instance with all my subs.
I’ve migrated from fmhy to feddit.uk, luckily my subscriptions were on a cached web page soon was able to manually re-subscribe.
Looks like I was wrong and it appears that Mali has been recaliming the .ml domain that they were using, so hopefully they’ll be back. According to the post they have backups etc. so once they sort out a new domain they may be back. Fingers crossed.
The comments/posts I made on other instances via that account are still there and i’m guessing will remain so but bookmarks/subscriptions etc. start from scratch.
Not entirely sure but it was a piracy focused instance so best guess is they recieved a takedown request.
You could also be in a position where the insurance just disappears.
I joined lemmy.fmhy.ml which has now disappeared, from what I gather they received a take down notice.
So whilst but important which instance in general being with a reputable one can matter.
Is a distinct possibility.
Even now I come across US sites which don’t work because they don’t want to have the whole GDPR compliance for EU members, which is usually overcome by a simple VPN to Canada/USA.
Funny thing about this is that the very people this is supposed to protect are probably far more tech savvy than the dinosaurs writing the legislation.
Torrent sites are blocked in UK by most isps , does it stop torrenting? No. And this wont work either it will just restrict the internet for the majority to “protect” the minority.
