Right. But the point people are trying to make is that the title is somehow “misleading”.

I feel like fast doesn’t change anything. “Surrender or die” is not very “peac-y” whether you’re in Kursk or somewhere else.
I guess I used the word “appeasement” because it can resemble peace to the less knowledgeable people. I just don’t know how to get people to see the danger of this type of policy. I’m amazed at how many people don’t think that this will eventually affect them too.
I’m very concerned about how many people mistake Trump’s attempts at appeasement as “peace”. People are actually buying that Zelensky “doesn’t want peace”. What can be done to change this narrative to the people who don’t get it?

I’m afraid that too many people don’t realize this or are scared of WWIII (which means, let someone else die, not me). Why don’t people realize the consequences ofof appeasing Russia? What can be done about this?

Also, I wouldn’t be able to be friends with a Putin sympathizer. I’m not saying that the OP should break off his friendship. I just wanted to point out that sometimes it’s about more than just politics. Sometimes more is at stake.

Fucking shameful and depressing. Makes me realize that slogans like “never again” are not at all realistic because they’ll always be idiots who think shit doesn’t concern them, until it does.
I chuckled at the “I just ate, so there’s no hunger example” because I have a conservative-leaning friend who was of the “it just rained, so there’s no drought” mentality.
I guess you’re right.
I was at a loss as to what to do when a few of my friends were expressing support for Trump, knowing that he plans on cutting aid to Ukraine (as well as other fucked up shit).
Is the “just because we disagree on politics we can still get along” frame of mind generally a conservative thing? Because on one hand, it makes sense. On the other hand, I find it very difficult, for example, to look past the fact that some conservatives want to stop aid to Ukraine (as a Ukrainian living in the US).

I do agree with you. While the health concerns with dogs are valid, I do feel like there should be some designated dog friendly places. It can get really difficult to arrange your schedule around so that the dog doesn’t stay at home for too long. I live with my mom and my boyfriend, and we almost never go places with the 3 of us as a group.
Also, health issues aside, as far as being disruptive, I feel like kids can be just as disruptive. With so many businesses disallowing dogs, it can sometimes feel like you’re almost being punished for having a dog.
