As a C# developer on Linux, I wish this was more true than it is. Working on a multi project dotnet solution in VSCode is still far behind Visual Studio / Jetbrains Rider.
Its also worth pointing out that the more you add to VSCode, the slower it becomes. If you add the toolkits to make it compete with Jetbrains products, it isn’t nearly the same lightweight editor anymore.
Won’t speak to Webstorm, but hard disagree when it comes to Rider. VSCode/Zed really fit into an entirely different category from Jetbrains IDE’s. Lightweight editors vs full fat development environments. There are use cases for each.

It is and it isn’t. It’s super dependant on use case. They bill on operations, not bandwidth. Obviously if you are hosting video/audio to be streamed, that could mean massive savings.
Lots of people, often unknowingly. If you run apt install firefox on Ubuntu, you’re getting the snap version.

They are for sure talking about the ARM servers from Oracle. You get 24gb of memory and 4 cpu cores that you can carve into virtual machines.
Issue is that the free stock is very limited, and there have been some claims of people having their free service resources reclaimed by Oracle.
Still, if you can get one, it is probably the best you can get for free.
Yeah, I’ve done the soap thing a couple of times on smaller issues. The second there is any real worry, I’m bringing in the aerosol foam that I can soak the nest with from 20 feet away

$10-20 is what that VPS costs at a cloud provider. You could also dockerize and use a container service like GCP Cloud Run combined with cloud storage within that budget.
I’m not a big node guy, but I also kind of doubt nodejs would fail to handle 10RPS on 2gb of memory. I guess it all depends on what the requests are doing.

Been playing through Stardew. The wiki is a godsend
1% lows below 30 is what I call unplayable. Consistent 30 is my absolute minimum.
That’s fine for you to feel that way. I’m just saying that Tears of the Kingdom was Exceptionally well received, despite it running around 30fps with huge dips in performance during some gameplay. It is evident that some gamers (perhaps console/mobile gamers more so) are less sensitive to lower frame rates and dips in performance.
In fact, 1% lows below 30 would disqualify almost any other game from even being rated playable by valve. But having cyberpunk run on the steam deck when it doesn’t run on a PS4 is a good sales pitch, so it’s clear why they verified it.
Their verification page seems to show what they are looking for. I don’t think mediocre frame rates stop a game from being verified.
Average FPS in the benchmarks I’m looking at seem to be 30-35, with 1% lows around 25. Sounds pretty standard for many console games. Especially handheld (switch Zelda games run at 30fps with huge dips, no?)
Maybe look in the settings. There is a hotkey option to save the last X amount of time (where X can be customized)
