This PR in lemmy will implement the issue PR #3869. Looking at the thread, the devs have completed the work and waiting for successful testing.
There is also a lemmy PR waiting to get approved that will help blocking instances in backend itself, which is better than current way of clients hiding the posts from blocked instances. IMO, waiting for that maybe better that doing, undoing, and redoing
Google will not end that deal like that. Even though firefox is a browser with small marketshare, being the default searchengine has its own merits. As soon as google stepsdown , microsoft (bing ) or other search engines will compete for that. Plus , having google in more places will help them lessen the grips of anti-trust lawsuits too.
I don’t know about graphene, but doesn’t some android roms allow to use custom ( more private Webview implementations) instead of default ?
