Good point but people have been driving to and from the outback long before the arrival of the connected car. Except the car, nothing else has changed much and it’s still possible to drive around with a “basic” car. Besides, there’s always the mobile phone if connectivity is required.
Consider the possibility that they are selling the data collected from you for a profit and using part of those profits to pay for the cellular service.
And most other manufacturers too for following the stupid decision to remove the headphone jack.

Definitely. Now I just occasionally mention that I have and use more privacy friendly alternatives as a sort of “fyi” for them to know. It’s better for the other parties to want to switch out of their own desires than to be forced. If it is forced upon them and things don’t go smoothly, you’ll end up getting resentment or worse, blamed. Better to use subtle encouragement and if they decide to switch, offer lots of useful advice and assistance.

I don’t think anyone mentioned Lionhead Studios. Black and White was fun. Sadly it’s in copyright limbo if I’m not mistaken.

I would be nice if the game detects that it’s been quite some time since I last played, and give a quick refresher of the keybinds as well as brief rundown of recent missions completed / story-so-far.
Almost as good, with best being a full refund and worse being nothing at all. I’ve had Google Play app purchases disappear and that was it. No refunds.

It may be store policy but it unfortunately does not prevent it from happening. Two examples i can remember are “Gentle Alarm” and “Manhatten Project”. Both I purchased and no longer available. Also not in my “not installed” list unfortunately.
I may have used the wrong terminology in my earlier reply. There is “unlisted” where the developer leaves the app in the store but removes it from the search. “Carcassonne” by Exocet comes to mind. It is still available for me to install but searching for it only shows the version by Asmodee.
Then there is the complete removal of the app. Gentle Alarm and Manhatten Project are 2 examples. :(
