They utterly forget it was an easy way to flex on a homie; “Ah, green, brown? You must be a peasant, feast your eyes on my purple and red.”

Well, in the Christmas spirit, my family’s version of these, courtesy of a century spent in Nebraska.
Line the bottom of a cake pan with pretzels, mix up mixed berry jello, with or without the true berries inside, and add whipped cream to the top. Let it set in the fridge before serving. Adds a nice bit of sweet and salty, and an appreciable crunch.

2·2 months agoI mean valid. I was mostly just supporting you’ve got a good use case by pointing out the industry is aiming for your ideal utilization. Personally I also agree with you in that a more pared down model usually can be more effective.

2·2 months agoYeah, that’s the eventual industry goal with “agentic AI”. Still, absurd waste of power, water, and arable land in the end; especially since the big wigs aren’t even really doing much that’s innovative to reduce the draw to any of those. Hell, they’ll build a data center in one of the world’s hottest deserts on faith they can tap an aquifer. Wild really.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the weirdest hobby you've heard of?
1·3 months agoSome of us only pop in occasionally to admire the graphics, run a few quests, and improve faction relations. (I can longer train skills, I have reached max on too many, don’t ask.) It can certainly be fun if you’re fond also of overly complicate navigation puzzles that require you to actually mimic doing a probe mission.

Let’s be perfectly fair; clowns would probably be doing a better or at least more enjoyable job.
As with us all. Amen
That was part of the joke; but valid. Kinky sea mammals.

7·4 months agoI got a house full of books, notebooks to write my partners notes, and sleep. If it seems to last more than I don’t know, a month? Probably walk to an Ocean, then see if one can walk or drive across one. Try and figure out why time seems stopped.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you think **you** can become a benevolent dictator without ever getting corrupted or turn evil?
21·4 months agoNah, that’s why you set up a system of checks to determine if you should be assassinated and succession in case of it. Bonus points if your advisors assassinate body doubles to retire you instead.

I used to use it for math notation, so I’d welcome it’s use again if I can keep using it as a placeholder for “then this happens” in between steps of functions.

And if by ship, they’re likely going to be straining the Navy between ports. Be a shame if something breaks too as we have less dock space available for repair than we did when we laid those keels.
