And now, the weather.
And now, the weather.
Using The Room is cheating. There are only, like, two scenes in the entire movie that make sense according to the plot.
And also, I would have probably gone with the playing catch (with a football, I think) in tuxedos scene.
In case you don’t know, that’s an excerpt from A Pickle for the Knowing Ones by Timothy Dexter, a man known for making terrible financial choices at the right time. For example, he sent coal to Newcastle, which arrived just after miners went on strike, so he made a fortune. His whole life is a farce.
You mean a poozooka?
The movie (that I literally didn’t know existed until right this moment) is based on a novel by Anne Rice, under the pen name Anne Rampling.
She also wrote a series of BDSM novels about Sleeping Beauty under the pen name A. N. Roquelaure.
The Venture Bros. had an entire episode about this and it was excellent.
It has a barter system, but you don’t need to use it if you don’t want to. Nearly everything you need in the game can be harvested or made.
Their other game, Grow: Song of the Evertree, is pretty fun too. It’s partly a city builder, partly exploring new worlds that you create. It’s been a while since I played it, so I remember some sort of currency, but I don’t really remember having to work that hard for it. Mostly, I just focused on creating worlds with crazy elements.
He’s been fostering another chick since May or June!
He’s fostering another chick this year!
You’re remembering correctly. That’s how the first character dies in Dreamcatcher. Stephen King was recovering from a car accident and was on oxy when he wrote the book if that helps explain anything.
They’re terrified of the mRNA vaccine. Because they’re incurious about science, they think it’s brand new, like invented just for this virus. Try telling them that the delivery mechanism has been around for awhile and scientists have been working on this vaccine since SARS and all they do is cover their ears and hum louder.
Wouldn’t that make him a monotreme?
Maybe that was Girl Hitler.
I’m glad other people are aware of this. I used to post about her infatuation with that butcher every time I saw her name come up on Reddit. It makes me happy to see other people doing the same.
Hbomberguy made a video about it. There’s no nuance or foreshadowing in that Sherlock. He exists just so Moffat can feel smart that he knows something the audience can’t possibly know yet, nor does he give them a chance to figure it out.
Q would leave breadcrumbs, because he needed to be as vague as possible to sound like he knew what was going to happen, right? The people who would interpret those breadcrumbs were called bakers. Yes, I know breadcrumbs are from bread that’s already been baked, but that’s what they decided to call themselves to create an Us vs Them feel. So the “bread” in this image means there are things to be interpreted or reinterpreted yet.
There was a very flawed study years ago where a biologist observed wolves in captivity and determined that they fight for dominance within the pack. Later, he realized that in a natural setting, a pack is a breeding pair and their pups, as you stated. A natural pack is much more cohesive and doesn’t have a strict hierarchy, but the ridiculous myth of “alpha wolves” won’t go away completely, despite the same biologist’s efforts.
Your friend is an idiot. MRNA vaccines are not new. Scientists have been working on a vaccine since SARS, which is similar to COVID (aka SARS-CoV-2). One of the reasons why medication can take so long to reach the public is that it takes money, which likely come from grants, which take time and have limited amounts to go around. When the pandemic broke out, countries around the world threw money at these labs. Everything else pretty much stopped, so they didn’t have to wait for an understaffed and underfunded FDA to approve it.
Getting the vaccine is much better than slowly suffocating because the virus destroyed your lungs. Herd immunity only works when enough people have been vaccinated and clearly we haven’t reached that yet since people are still getting infected, reinfected and dying.
Lake Michigan. The dunes are made of the softest sand and some of the most beautiful parks are along the lakeshore. I remember going one winter with some friends and it was probably one of my favorite trips. Honestly, I don’t really remember my friends much, but I remember how crisp the air was. Some of the ice on the lake had cracked and ran into more ice, forming ridges. The night was so silent that you could hear it groaning. For a moment, we were the only people on Earth.
