In the last day or so I have noticed that images on nearly all posts appear to be low resolution / blurry. Anyone else experiencing this? I am on version 2.18.4 iOS 17.6.1 iPhone 13 Pro.
Lemmy devs broke it, I have a fix hitting the stores soon.
Thanks! I just sent you a tip as a thank you! Keep up the great work!
Maybe it‘s your instance? Just found this: https://lemmy.ml/comment/14795408
Yeah that might be it I guess. Lemmy.ml is the OG instance that the devs of Lemmy maintain though right? I guess they may have pushed a recent update that other instances don’t have which could have caused the issue? @dessalines@lemmy.ml any idea if this could be the case?
Looks like this was the issue and a fix has just been deployed. Fast work!
I’m actually wondering now if the fix has not been deployed but has been added for an upcoming release? My app still has the issue… anyone else know?
Ah thanks for this. I’ve been too lazy to migrate off .ml but this is the push I needed
Seeing this as well, just noticed right now and came here to look for a post. Edit: same version and iOS 18.1
Weird. All post images load perfectly fine on my end, but I have seen others complain of the issue you describe. I am also running version 2.18.4, but I am on Android instead.
The app looks kinda dead. Dev never cares to answer and updates are meh at best with little to no content. The github issues page is kinda ignored too
Wat.
Then why some old github suggestions are ignored?
I don’t try to ignore github suggestions, there are just a lot of them and I can’t always take the time to immediately reply. And then I forget because my memory sucks :)
Is there some issues in particular you want addressed?
https://lemmy.today/comment/11904420 what about this?
24/7 connected to wifi as it’s a old phone but keeps logging me out
Yeah, that is an odd one. I did reply to the post though. I haven’t been able to reproduce yet… does the phone have memory constraints? Is it iOS? if so what is the version number?
Version: 2.18.4
I’m on android 13
I have almost no apps on the phone so the memory shouldn’t be a problem. Sometimes I leave it unopened for a day or 2 and I get logged out for no reason. Luckily I have a backup so I can log back in a restore from it but it’s so annoying when it happens and I usually uninstall the app and use it on my main phone
Android?! That is a new one! Thank you for letting me know! And please let me know if you find a consistent reproduction. I’ll keep my eye out
Seems weird, Voyager was always among the most developed apps. Maybe they just reached a plateau in terms of features and just have other priorities?
Development has been intensive lately, tags coming very soon. I do need to groom issues though lol.
Thank you for all your work!
