My 11 year old ate a button battery. She threw it up in the X-ray room. We’re still paying the emergency room bill.

Haha yes. She was playing with it mindlessly while on the computer. She’s always putting stuff in her mouth, like jewelry and coins. And we’ve always taken that stuff away and told her she’s going to swallow it. She may have learned her lesson this time.
Maybe give her fidget toy save to swallow? If not concious fidget, how gonna stop because of lesson?
I think she’s been scared out of that habit.
This is why they are mostly sold with a bitterant outer coating. It should be pretty gross to just hold a recently purchased coil cell battery in your mouth these days.
