Trump, Putin, and Netenyahu have practically made it mandatory for every country to get their own nuclear weapons. Nothing else makes any sense anymore, when you have hyper aggressive fanatics with nuclear weapons and the west does nothing at all about it. It would be governmental malpractice for every world leader not to have some as a deterrent.
Couldn’t agree more. Would they have done it if Iran had nukes. Everyone came out of this with some learnings and would be interesting to see what comes out of it in the coming months and years.
not that long ago I believed a rules based western order existed, and that inevitably we’d evolve a global world government, sprouted from the UN and ICC. Just a matter of time, I thought. What a silly dirty hippy I was.
FFS, can’t we just all live our short lives in piece, without giving that much power to a bunch of selfish assholes? They are all in the wrong, and will sacrifice their neighbours for a bit of power.
