Well, she campaigned on being a fascist and made a number of racist claims. But after she was elected she toned it down and even said there was no room for classic fascism in Italy.

So, really, no one should like her.

I would rather they just dropped off a cliff somewhere. Sadly, it doesn’t appear we will be that lucky at the moment

What are you talking about? I’m merely making fun of how all the racist italians would lose the racism game if hitler won. They would be next on the chopping block, for sure.

Sorry you can’t understand the nuance of my statements. Maybe you should ‘fuck off’ back to a reading comprehension class?

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Italy has one of the highest rates of libel suits against the media in Europe, and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni is proving journalist associations right.

Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is reportedly suing the lead singer of rock band Placebo after he called her a “fascist, racist” at a gig last month.

Speaking in front of around 5,000 fans on stage at the Sonic Park festival in Turin, Brian Molko called the prime minister a “piece of shit” and described her as “fascist, racist”.

This is not the first time Meloni, who leads the far-right Brothers of Italy party, has filed a defamation lawsuit.

Domani alleged Meloni had tried to help an MP from her own party win a government contract to procure face masks during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Under Italy’s criminal code, anyone who “publicly defames the republic”, which includes the government, parliament, the courts and the army, faces punishment of a fine of between €1,000 to €5,000.

There have been cases like this in the past where the person suing has lost, effectively proving the claims true. I don’t have much faith in the courts in Italy to deliver such a verdict but it would be funny.
