Citing rising criminalization of environmental activism in Europe, a new paper calls on states to reinstate protections for protest enshrined in binding international law.
Well, none of those work as we can see from their failures.
Editors can bin it.
people don’t have to read blogs
people don’t have to social media
people don’t have to listen to PSAs.
I’m certainly not advocating for blocking an emergency vehicle, but I would argue there is a reasonably short list of people who, if removed, would greatly help the cause.
Well, none of those work as we can see from their failures.
Clearly. Legal peaceful protest has never accomplished anything in democracy. Nope. Not once. The only way any law has ever been passed in the nearly hundred democracies across the planet earth is when people block ambulances. That’s it. If you think your government passed some law last week you are mistaken. True on the local level as well. Your town of 1,000 people would love to install a new water fountain in the park but can’t do it until some people block an ambulance. I am and all of democracy is defeated. Rip up all the rules about free speech and protest since not one of them has ever worked in the history of the entire human race!
Do you have an opinion about anything? Block an ambulance and cause someone to die. Since all other possible means of convincing people won’t work since “Well, none of those work as we can see from their failures.”.
Does anything else not work? Maybe food doesn’t work and we all should have starved long ago.
Now you’re just rambling. I already said blocking an ambulance is bad—we agree. But you said murder was bad, and while I typically agree in the case of innocent people, there may be a reasonably short list of people in powerful positions who might benefit the world from not existing… not that I’m advocating for that or anything.
You said that peaceful protest doesn’t work as well. I was addressing that since it is so inaccurate I felt compelled to point that out.
Murder is always bad, killing a person is the absolute last option and only to stop them from killing another person immediately, not theoretically, not in decades. If we aren’t able to have moral means to achieve moral ends we don’t deserve moral ends.
Your best bet is if you care about these issues is go get employment in the waste/pollution/garbage/environmental sector. Plenty of jobs available, you get to make a difference, the pay is pretty good, and you don’t fucking murder people by blocking ambulances. I have shitty days at work like everyone else, even a shitty day I know I made the world that much cleaner and it was worth it.
Waste management is not a career that will prevent humanity from going extinct.
An ocean is just a multitude of drops.
You cannot see the forest through the trees
You talk on the internet and I have well over a hundred air scrubbers under my belt.
and you’re the kind of person they’re blocking traffic to reach.
They are trying to reach the guy who limits meat consumption, only drives when no other options are available, and has spent almost their entire career doing what he can to lower air, soil, and water pollution? Thats like coal to Newcastle on roids.
and you’re the kind of person they’re blocking traffic to reach.
And I am sorry you won’t even condemn ambulance blocking.
Goodbye
Bye. Try not to murder a kid on the way out while wearing fibers made from oil.
Funny how you didn’t learn by age 4 that two wrongs don’t make a right.
I think what they’re trying to say is, “wake up, humanity is going extinct.”
It’s hard to say that when you let people mindlessly pass.
I do agree that no one should block emergency vehicles.
Letters to the editor, pamphlets, peaceful protests with permits, blogs, social media, paid public service announcements…
Plenty of ways to get your views out there that don’t involve murder.
Well, none of those work as we can see from their failures.

I’m sorry you’re inconvenienced by the extinction.
