sorry if there is a more relevant community. i tried on that other big forum site and was shot down by a bot and i am tired.

let’s just say a person started working for a gig-type company, through an app, such as ****** and while “on the clock” and using the app, their iPhone was spontaneously, occasionally making 3-second OUTGOING calls to different numbers coded to San Francisco, where the not-so-hypothetical company is based.

and if you call the numbers back: “this number no longer works. please contact support”

what are they doing?

Technically impossible, or it would be a huge security hole and you would be rich if you told Apple about that.

You can’t install a different phone application on iOS. It’s possible on Android though.

i know it sounds insane, but i’m not on stimulants or hallucinogens, etc. maybe need to check my CO levels in my place and my vehicle. screenshots of my call records are somewhat diluted as evidence because I kept calling the SF numbers back.

Is your phone jailbroken? Is it updated?

        • Post a screenshot
        • Reboot your phone
        • Reinstall/reset your phone

It could be a bug but I’ve never heard about it.

is there a way to ask the iphone for a detailed, inclusive call log?

it isn’t jailbroken, it’s old, on 16.6, just checked and i’m downloading 16.6.1. screenshots are basically useless here, i think. maybe i can get a detailed record from the cell provider, if i get that motivated.

it’s too… /specific/ to be a random bug. and too weird. so, I’m probably losing it.
