I’d argue the end of civilization as we know it is the end of the world. Some amount of humans will survive with vastly less knowledge and technology, but survival of some humans isn’t the metric.

Some cats just love it. I adopted a 2.5 year old cat from a shelter almost a year ago and he’s also super gentle and affectionate and looooves belly rubs. My other cat likes it too but only allows it for about 10 seconds lol

I’ve been making my own clothes for more than a decade now and I’ve dabbled in knitting and crocheting, but I’ll admit it’s a bit too much for me. I once made a dress where I didn’t have quite enough fabric so the skirt ended up too short and thought, oh, I’ll just a crotchet a nice 15 cm wide decorative border. Problem was it was a circle skirt so the hem was 4m long. Shit took me 15 damn hours lol. I respect people who have the patience for it or just find it fun but that’s not me.

Yeah me neither. Where I live there really aren’t many stray cats, and certainly not around where people live. It’s a good thing though because I would definitely keep every cat if they would just walk into my house.

Agreed. I live in a European country where it’s very normal to let your cats outside, and I was a mail carrier for 4 years, so I got to pet so many cats 5 days a week. You do the pspsps, then crouch a bit and extend the hand. They either ignore you and move or on they’re interested and come to you and bam you’re petting a sweet kitty.

I’ve had one of my cats for only half a year and he needed to be socialized because he used to be a stray for about a year. He still gets scared and bolts every time I sneeze if he’s sitting next to me, lmao.

It’s country specific. They were discontinued only in the US, but they still operate in multiple European countries, and in my experience like 70% of households here in the Netherlands have one of those things.
