Do you think you have less taxation because of your 2. amendment?

I think everybody in most jobs/positions should have the opportunity to learn and grow. This is “just” a moderator and some leeway should be given, IMHO.
If it happens again by the mod, and if it becomes a “regular” thing by several mods, then the guillotine should be used frequently and without trials.
Fint forget the kangaroo!
That’s neat and all. But how do they retract their heads?
IKEA furniture are not bad at all. 40 years ago or was a standing joke, but the quality has quintupled since then.
You can of course buy the cheapest of cheap in IKEA and it will be less comfortable than the more expensive ones, but couches from IKEA are good.
Hell, most other furniture brands delivers their furniture flat packed as well. It’s just easier to build IKEA since they have gotten the instructions down to a t.
When I saw the story about furniture doctor here the other day it just seemed so dumb. Buy flat packed furniture sand assemble it on your living room. Or get the furniture doctor to assemble it, then you don’t have to cut it open with power tools…
In short - IKEA and Wasa ftw!!
Dog racing is dogs running without a rider. I’m sure there have happened riderless horseracing before. I spot a fault in the logic!
Fyi - “gud” equals god in Norwegian.
So its even more potent 😄
This is probably not in the same categories as other experiences, buuuut the Guinness museum in Dublin the evening before st Patrick’s day was quite fun!
There’s a large bar at the top/end of the museum and a band was playing and 100 or so people ended up in a conga line.
I think I had 4 tasty Guinness during the museum tour sand countless at the museum bar😅
Well… It used to be called “going postal” because of the frequent mass shootings in postal offices by postal workers…
Why that changed I can’t tell you.
On a slightly funny(?) note, postal the game was created where you are in fact going postal. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_(video_game)
Apparently there is a plot line that is not about shooting postal workers, so who knows.
For anybody like myself who doesn’t know enough ancient greek… Lithos means rock…
Early termination fees are not that horrible. They can give you a monthly cost where some of the costs for installing it might be distributed over they contact period. Fine and ok
But i should still be able to cancel my contract without jumping through 11 loops and queues.
If you sign up for a given contract, that’s what you have agreed upon. It sucks if you only have one option and they can set a ridiculous price. So if you want to regulate pricing, that’s a different matter. Cancelling is something else altogether.
I hope it was a genious piece of code that was miles ahead of what it replaced.
And still it got rejected 😄
Right. So it’s a Schroedinger’s quote…😑
But thanks for pointing out what was obvious for others
The fuck? Where is your limit then to purchase power Vs donating to those less fortunate?
I mean, if 40k USD is your limit, what about housing? Boat? Would it be ok to have ten 4k cars? Two 30k cars?
Can you rationalize drinking that imported beer last weekend when you could have given those 15 bucks to a homeless guy on the street?
I mean, arbitrary set a value point for a car as excessive creates more problem for you and your ideal then not having that limit. At least the Buddhist monks who give away all their worldy goods to focus on meditation are consistent.
This is the quote:
“I don’t see any scenario where they’re responsible for less than 10% of the value destruction, so around $4 billion.”
In my head, he is comparing the minimum size of ADLs value reduction to be 10% or 4 billion. 10% of 44 billion is 4,4 billion. In this comment he is not saying anything about the current value except that 10% of 44 is around 4.
How else can you read it?
So you think the government in the United States of America is so afraid of its constituents that they are not raising the taxes.
What about all the other countries in the world that have less or similar taxes like the states but no 2. amendment? Are they completely reliant on sending strongly worded letters to the newspapers? Or do you think in a functional democracy there might be other ways for constituents to wield power?
