Wait do people actually not like celery? I eat it as a snack
I think it’s fairly common to dislike raw celery.
I fuckin love celery
Yep me too, just crunching on raw celery is great with or without Peanut Butter and I also add it to smoothies
There are apparently dozens of us!
I really dislike celery. I just don’t like the texture and flavor. Yucky
“Celery tastes like water” is somwthing people only say because they heard other people say it. It clearly does not

Where the fuck are you getting spicy celery?
I don’t know if I would call it spicy, been a long time since I had just celery though. But I am really sensitive to the taste of it.
Even if you chop it up small and cook it into something, for me it ruins a meal and gives it this horrible aftertaste. Probably best described as puke, that kinda acidic taste
I’m seconding what that other person said. You might have oral allergy syndrome.
Fun fact; that’s how I found out I have oral allergy syndrome. I asked a friend how so many people can ignore the way bananas burn like that and apparently, they don’t.
Celery is like the opposite of acid or burning or spice. It’s green and water.
You may be allergic to it, because celery has zero spice.
I think we’re back to the cucumber controversy. Or the mushroom one. Anyone being able to smell ants…?
Celery is peak, fight me
Love that crunchy boii
Do I have to fight you? I agree with you.
Celery stick sword fight.
Go!
Rhubarb: now when you bit the water with hair in it, it tastes sour.
Isn’t rhubarb poisonous before cooking
Its the leaves that have a lot of oxalic acid, the stems are edible raw, just utterly unpalateable. Although if you have a miracle berry first it is apparently delicious - https://youtu.be/hgvRoCY0hNA?t=10m26s
You mentioning eating the stems raw made me think of it and instantly increased my saliva production. It’s not easily palatable, it’s intense, you’re right, but man is it good. I grew up on that stuff. Cracking that raw stem and munching it while doing gardening is a stimmy miracle
Better than just sticking my finger in the blue cheese dressing tho…
carrots??
When I say “better” what I really mean is “more socially acceptable”.
Carrots are also more socially acceptable than my finger…
I don’t know how people eat it, it tastes so horrible
You my friend are in a genetic minority. Sorry about that.

Celery is delicious and I will die on that hill
Mmmm crunchy water.
This is only true of the celery you find in grocery stores.
Grow some in your garden, you’re in for a world of flavor you never knew existed
Same shit people say about cucumbers and they all taste like bland ass. Literally worse than iced tap water.

Raw celery is 95% water, 3% carbohydrates, 0.7% protein, and contains negligible fat (table). A 100-gram (3+1⁄2-ounce) reference serving provides 16 calories of food energy, and is a rich source of vitamin K, providing 28% of the Daily Value, with no other micronutrients in significant content (table).
you can try my shower drain if you are so inclined
Damnit I wish I had some good shit to flavor my stew with.
Glances at Mirepoix
That’s really it, soup and stew. I opt for the celery root, toss it in a bag, call it a day.
Also would make a killer white wine sauce for roast chicken.
At least it’s also salty.
Mom, can I get some sloppy blowjob aftermath?
No, we have sloppy blowjob aftermath at home.
Risky click of the day…
I “peel” celery like how I peel a potato. So basically peel off the stringy part. Then I cut them diagonally or at a 45° angle. I then stir fry them with carrots and string peas and baby corn and shallots with some garlic and salt.
It’s so crunchy and fresh tasting.
And have it taste like eating shampoo or some other chemical soup not to be left within reach of children.
Growing your own celery is a game changer. Most produce we get in the store is hopelessly bland.
Celery loses most of it’s flavor quickly after harvest. When it’s actually fresh it’s extremely tasty.
