An NYPD spokesperson said the agency “will review the lawsuit if and when we are served.”
e.g. “we’re hoping this gets shut down before it ever reaches our lawyers”
A PBA spokesperson did not comment directly on the cards but said in a statement that the union “does not set policies regarding the way that police officers perform their duties. […] The law and NYPD policies afford police officers discretion in taking enforcement action”
e.g. we would never codify this, that would be proof of corruption, instead it’s just an unwritten rule we can use to support further corruption
My experience, living in Canada and travelling a lot to the states for work things and also around canada for work, is that the culture similarities are entirely dependent on what state you are in, and what province.
Hopefully that’s just a joke.
The cops? Abusing their authority? Selectively enforcing laws to engage in personal vendettas against people? They would never! /s

Thank you
PBA cards. They’re ridiculous and completely legal.
Wtf? Do they have that in Canada too?
